EAST LIVERPOOL — Pastor Michael S. Ross, of East Liverpool, handed away Tuesday morning, February 28, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital following a sudden sickness. He was 66.
He was born in Sandusky, Ohio on August 19, 1956 to the late Charles Franklin Ross II and Grace Jones Ross Felton McKinnon. He was a 1975 graduate of Huron Excessive College and briefly joined america Military following commencement. After an honorable discharge in December of 1975, he travelled to Alaska, the place beneath the steering of Dick Benjamin and Abbot Loop Christian Middle, he dedicated his life to Jesus Christ and have become a passionate disciple.
Recognized to many as Pastor Mike, he attended Worldwide Bible Institute and Seminary and graduated in 1986. He spent ten years at Alliance Christian Middle, the place he served as an elder beneath Pastor Kirk Martin.
Pastor Mike felt a divine name to the East Liverpool space the place he planted Hope Christian Fellowship in 1990. What started as a number of believers assembly inside houses shortly turned a congregation of a whole lot. Many lives had been marked and eternally modified due to Pastor Mike’s obedience and nice leap of religion. This daring religion and wholehearted want to dwell totally surrendered to God is the defining issue of Pastor Mike’s life and legacy.
Except for pastoring, Mike loved his missions work in Africa with Harvest Preparation Worldwide Ministries. He was a proud member of the Calcutta Rotary and a beneficiant supporter of Heartbeat of Columbiana County. He loved bowling and {golfing} and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
He’s survived by his spouse, Karen A. Ross, at residence. The couple married July 18, 1980. There are 4 kids: Farah Leland and her husband, Steve, Christian Kish and his spouse, Katrina, Sheena Wain and her husband, Kris, and Michael Ross and his spouse, Brittany. He can even be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Krissy and her accomplice, Kevin, Zachary, Jaden, Grace, Kisha, Brady, Zaiden, Quinn, Jackson, Brinley and Brogan and his great-grandchildren, Claire and Cora.
Two sisters survive, Bonnie Cripe and Pamela Kline.
Along with his mother and father, he was preceded in dying by a sister Sandra Drummond, a brother Charles Ross III, and two step-fathers, Owen Felton and Owen McKinnon.
Household and mates could go to Friday afternoon and night on the Dawson Funeral Dwelling the place the household will likely be current from 2 to 4 and 6 to eight p.m. Mike’s household will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Christian Fellowship, 13320 State Route 7, Lisbon, Ohio.
Following the service, household and mates will stay on the church for a luncheon.
