Sharon Lea Ewing was born November 18, 1951 to Stanley and Darlene “Boots” (Schlitter) Ewing at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She grew up along with her child sister, Sue, on the household farm south of Rossville.
She was educated in Waukon Public Colleges, graduating from Waukon Excessive Faculty in 1970. June 13, 1970, she married her highschool sweetheart, Douglas Kubitz, on the Rossville Presbyterian Church, the identical church she was baptized and confirmed in, and the place she was a member till the church closed in 2018.
Doug and Sharon purchased the household farm from Stan and Boots in 1973. Aside from just a few months when she and Doug rented an condominium after they first married and her time at Good Sam, Sharon spent her whole life on her household’s farm.

Her mother and father preceded her in loss of life, alongside along with her nephew, Ryan Schulte.
