Bettie Hughes, 72, died faithfully on April 3, 2023, at St. Vincent in Little Rock, Ark., after a brave battle with renal failure.
Bettie was born on April 28, 1950, in Moro, Ark., to Bonnie Canady and Hattie Lee Broadway. She graduated from Anna Sturdy Excessive College in Marianna, Ark. Bettie had an ideal tenure on the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for 17 years as a profitable profession as a supervisor. In 1994, Bettie was fortunately married to James Lee Hughes, who was her accomplice in life for 29 years on the time of her dying.
Bettie is survived by her husband; 5 youngsters of her personal; one via marriage; 20 grandchildren; and quite a few others.
Bettie was an honorable church mom who served because the ministry treasurer over dues, and benevolence. She persistently sponsored youth occasions and serviced missions on a constant foundation. Bettie was recognized for being a praiser and a coronary heart of gratitude in the direction of the Lord.
In addition to spending time along with her household and buddies, Bettie had a ardour for touring, purchasing, having fun with church, and caring for her canine Frankie. Bettie had a shiny and energetic persona and was recognized for her means to serve when folks wanted her assist. She touched many lives along with her beneficiant and passionate perspective on life.
Household and buddies are invited to attend a celebration of life: Higher Works Christian Church on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 1 p.m. The viewing shall be held Friday, April 7, 2023, at Trustworthy Funeral Residence, 7727 Colonel Glenn Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72204, from 1-6 p.m. The wake shall be on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 12-1 p.m. at Higher Works Christian Church, 3517 Asher Avenue, Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
