RICHARDSON, Texas (March 14, 2023) – No.11 Lubbock Christian College’s Hope Banales was acknowledged because the Lone star Convention Hitter of the Week Tuesday.
Banales led LCU on the plate (11-for-20, .550) in a 5-1 week, which included a sweep of Japanese New Mexico and a highway collection win at Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Tucson, Ariz. native had at the very least one hit in every of the six video games and a trio of multi-hit performances. She was 7-for-10 within the ENMU collection, with six RBI within the collection. Banales had a four-RBI sport, going 2-for-3 within the ultimate sport of the ENMU collection. She had a double in 5 of the six video games on the week and hit .583 (7-for-12) with runners on base for the week.
The honour is the primary LSC weekly honor for Banales’ profession. She is the third Girl Chaps member acknowledged with a LSC weekly honor this season and the second to obtain Hitter of the Week recognition. Kasey Flores obtained the honour on Feb. 14.
LCU is 21-8 on the season and moved from No.10 to No.11 Tuesday within the newest NFCA nationwide rankings. The Girl Chaps stay in Lone Star Convention play Friday, as they host St. Mary’s Friday with a doubleheader to open a three-game LSC collection. LCU has received 5 of their final six video games, which has LCU 11-7 and fifth in LSC play.
