On December 2, 1967, he was married to Helen J. (Rethy) Parks in Barton, OH; she survives. He began working as a routeman for Culligan Water Conditioning in Wheeling, WV in 1974 and was rapidly promoted to common supervisor of that retailer. He later managed shops in Washington, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dayton, Ohio and Anderson, Indiana. In 1993, he and Helen made their solution to Lebanon, IN after they bought their very own Culligan Water franchise. Later, they bought further franchises in Greencastle, Indiana and Frankfort IN. In complete, Elmer labored as a Culligan man for almost 50 years and was energetic within the Water High quality Affiliation, Tri-State Culligan Affiliation, Culligan Vendor Advisory Council and Culligan CDANA. He was at all times properly revered by his Culligan household all throughout the globe.

Survivors embody his spouse, Helen; youngsters, Terri Lipot, Angela Beard, and Craig Parks; 9 grandchildren; one nice granddaughter; and a brother, Rick Parks.
