Charles Ray Stephens, 87, of Dora, died peacefully on Sunday, Might 7, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his household.

He was a retired coal miner from Jim Walter Assets and a member of the UMWA. He was a member of New Life Christian Meeting Church in Dora. He loved preserving his yard neat and clear and adorning for Christmas. He liked to fish, backyard, journey, and most of all, spend time together with his household. He was a person of steadfast prayer and religion. Ray had a ardour for serving Christ and was devoted to his native church and group. He shall be lovingly remembered for the numerous lives he touched. 

Funeral companies shall be Thursday, Might 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. at New Life Christian Meeting Church, 25 Minimize and Curl Rd. Dora, AL 35062. Rev. James Aycox and Rev. Kieth Owens will officiate. Burial will observe in Brasfield Cemetery in Burnwell. Visitation is Wednesday night time from 6 to eight p.m. on the funeral residence. 

He was preceded in demise by his dad and mom, John and Bertha Mae Stephens. 

Survivors embrace his loving spouse of 69 years, Martha Nell Stephens; his daughter, Debbie Stephens Hubbard; son, Randy Stephens and daughter-in-law, Lisa Stephens; daughter, Donna Stephens Harbin; grandchildren, Eric Stephens, Summer season Ellis Paquette (Jordan), Amy Stephens Corridor (Jeremy), Jamie Harbin and Will Fanning; great-grandchildren, Ben Stephens, Stephen Corridor, Mary Elizabeth Corridor, Carter Paquette and Elliana Paquette; and a number of other nieces, nephews, different family members and a bunch of pals. 

The household want to thank particular pals Bruce and Rhonda Willis, caregivers Tammie Tipton and Jodie Hodge, and Gentiva Hospice of Jasper.
