One of many oldest Christian liturgical books is predicted to promote for greater than $2.6 million at an public sale in London.

The Crosby-Schøyen Codex was written on Egyptian papyrus from round 250-350 A.D., and produced in one of many first monasteries.

The e-book was ultimately found within the Fifties. 

It was acquired by the College of Mississippi till 1981, when it was purchased by Dr. Martin Schoyen, a manuscript collector, in 1988.

The codex is on view at Christie’s New York, April 2-9, and will probably be auctioned in London on June 11.
