The Hope Faculty baseball workforce earned a sequence win at Trine College on Friday and clinched the ultimate spot in subsequent week’s MIAA Event.
The Flying Dutchmen entered the day needing one win or one Albion Faculty loss to advance to postseason play and defeated the Thunder, 7-5, in Sport 1. Trine edged Hope, 2-1, in Sport 2.
Hope (20-18, 12-9) will probably be seeded third or fourth relying on the outcomes of the Saturday, Could 6, doubleheader between regular-season champion Kalamazoo Faculty and Adrian Faculty.
If Adrian loses twice at Kalamazoo, the Flying Dutchmen will probably be seeded third and play within the first spherical at second-seeded Alma Faculty on Wednesday, Could 10.
