Norma Jean Rector, 91, a girl of robust religion and boundless love for her household, handed away peacefully on October 15, 2023, in her hometown of South Bend. Born on February 10, 1932, to Leander “Hank” and Ida (Rice) Fieser.

On March 11, 1950, Norma married the love of her life, Robert Rector, in South Bend. Their marriage was an exquisite partnership that lasted till Robert’s passing in 2011. Norma is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Porter of Mishawaka and Gwen Rector of Florida, and her son, Greg Rector of Florida. She was a beloved mother-in-law to Anne Rector of South Bend. Norma was a cherished grandmother to 6 grandchildren, Nicholas Hendricks of Mishawaka, Erin (Arthur) Garcia of South Bend, Ashley (Jerrod) Sherwood of Buchanan, Stephanie (Nick) Myers of South Bend, and Jason Kluszczynski of South Bend. She was additionally a doting great-grandmother to 9 great-grandchildren, Arturo Jr., Liliana, Christian, Bradley, Victoria, Callia, Isabella, Kaleb and Emily.

Norma was preceded in demise by her husband, Robert Rector; her son, Eric “Rick” Rector; her granddaughter, Jessica Hendricks; her son-in-law, Clifton Porter; and her sisters, Deloras Ackelson and Martha Krienke.

Norma graduated from Adams Excessive Faculty and selected to dedicate her life to the noble career of homemaking. She was an exquisite Christian lady who beloved the Lord and lived her religion day-after-day.
