William E. “Invoice” Davenport, 76, of Boggstown, handed away Friday, Might 19, 2023, in Homer.

He was born August 31, 1946, in Indianapolis, the son of Charles and Agnes (Riewer) Davenport. On September 27, 1980, he married Patsy Joan “Pat” Bowman, and he or she survives.

Along with Pat, Invoice is survived by his sons, William Davenport Jr. and spouse, Erika, of Ninevah, Chris Davenport and spouse, Tiffany, of Franklin, and Brian Davenport and spouse, Tylee of Homer; daughter, Holly Schrank and husband, Brian Taylor, of Homer; sister, Janet Shaffer and husband, Don, of Greenwood; 19 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carol Davenport of Indianapolis; and a number of other nieces and nephews. He additionally leaves behind his canine, Mason, that they rescued in February of 2016.

Invoice was preceded in loss of life by his mother and father; and brother, Charles “Wayne” Davenport.

He graduated in 1964 from Franklin Central Excessive College.

Invoice was a member of Hope Christian Church.

He retired from the Beech Grove Hearth Division, with 21 years of service. Invoice was additionally an auctioneer and farmer.

He was a member of the Sugar Creek Masonic Lodge No. 279, Fairland Order of Japanese Star No. 359, Murat Shrine and the Scottish Ceremony.

Invoice loved farming, going tenting and dealing on the Indiana State Honest.

Visitation will likely be from 5 to eight pm, Wednesday, Might 24, 2023, at Freeman Household Funeral Properties and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, with Masonic companies at 7:30 pm.

Funeral companies will likely be at 11 am, Thursday, Might 25, 2023, on the funeral residence, with Carson Root officiating.

Interment will likely be at Forest Garden Cemetery.

Memorial contributions could also be made to Riverside Kentucky Christian Church or Hope Christian Church, in care of the funeral residence.
